An introduction to the German occupation of Guernsey, 1940-1945. Hundreds of books, articles, novels, documentaries and even motion pictures have covered the Occupation, yet people are still surprised to learn what happened in the Channel Islands in the Second World War. The unique situation of British territory under Nazi control remains a source of fascination. This new book uses the collections of Guernsey Museum including many images never published before. It is published to coincide with the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the islands’ liberation on 9th May 1945.

The book was scheduled to be published at the end of April and launched at the Guernsey Literary Festival. All this has been delayed by the virus outbreak, but the book is with the printers and will be printed as soon as circumstances allow.
It will be published by Guernsey Museums and available from their Amazon store.
